Hofstra's Gauge Shipp (133) has been named EIWA Wrestler of the Week after a dominating performance in going 3-0 on the week.

Shipp started the week by pinning Carter Pack at 133 lbs. in Monday's match against Long Island rival LIU.

His biggest test of the week came on Sunday when Hofstra hosted Brown and Harvard. In the first match of the day, he faced No. 32 Coleman Nogle of Harvard. He did not disappoint the Hofstra fans when he posted a convincing 5-1 decision victory over the nationally ranked Nogle.

He capped the week off with another pin on Sunday when he pinned Brown's Douglas Shipers at the 2:52 mark of the first period!

Shipp's three victories raised is win total to a team leading 19 on the year.
